This Kit doll was just delivered yesterday, and I couldn't wait to do something with her hair.
Someone had used a crimping iron on it. I was going to do the "downy", but first I thought I'd steam it. Her hair was still very shiny and soft. The steaming took out the crimping, and her hair was just straight. The bottom ends were a little frizzy, and of course it didn't fall nicely like Kit's hair. I took my curling iron on low heat and just turned the ends under. I had to do it in multiple layers, starting from the bottom, but she came out beautiful. I didn't get a picture of the back, but it looks as good as the front. Now if all my links work, you'll be able to see the before and after.
